Overall, this cruise was enjoyable and worth the doing. The ship itself is beautiful, well maintained, and the crew exceptional (with a few exceptions). The dining and wait staff were amazing and we enjoyed every meal and dining room experience. We made great use of the Spa, especially the Rainforest which was most definitely worth the add on pricing. We were a couple traveling without children and appreciated the serenity of the Rainforest and the adult pools and lounges. The ports of call were beautiful and we enjoyed most of the on board entertainment. The Believe show was a little weak as the story was blah, but the acting was very good so it was bearable. We loved the Pirate night and enjoyed the Moonshot show so much we saw it twice.

The pain points for us on this cruise was the ineptitude of the Guest Services representatives. There was one gal who literally could not help us at all on two occasions. She simply did not know what we were asking and what to do so she would call for backup or go to the back office. We finally gave up on both occasions as she clearly was not ready to be on the front line assisting passengers. We ran into a major problem when we were notified on Day 6 of our cruise that our credit card was not working and our charging abilities were suspended. WHAT??? We had plenty of headway on the card and should have had no issues whatsoever, so we traipsed back down to Guest Services to find out what was going on. Again we got the 'deer in the headlights' look and after multiple attempts to figure out what was going on, we gave them our debit card and went from there. We could not call our credit card carrier to work with them so it was what it was. When we returned home and contacted our credit card company, we found that they had put multiple holds on our account WELL BEYOND what we even charged on the ship. The credit card company explained that they should have used the hold that they had already placed MULTIPLE TIMES and it would have avoided the issue. We asked if this was standard practice and the rep at our bank answered with a resounding NO. Normally we could have weathered this mistake, but our flight was cancelled and rebooked for the following day and we had no access to our credit card. Thank God we got fabulous customer service from the airline carrier who provided vouchers for hotel and food for the night. We were beyond stressed as we didn't want to clean out our checking account as we have things on auto pay. We would have been sunk if the flight delays were longer than a day. Certainly not a great way to end a vacation.

Another issue was the Navigator app. We found it works well when it wants to, but it would freeze or stop working altogether for no obvious reason. So we spent more time at Guest Services for help. The first rep (the same from our earlier visit) had no idea what to do so we left the line and made a second trip to Guest Services a while later. The second gentleman was able to help us by changing some settings in our phones. All well and good until we got back on land and our phones ceased to work properly. Good thing we had plenty of time in the airport to figure all of that out and restore our phones to their previously working state (we ended up deleting the app altogether). There is an option on the app to make an appointment at Guest Services but it never worked once when we tried.

Cabin Review

The cabin was perfect for our needs. Not too small and we loved the veranda. The storage space in the cabin was phenomenal!
