This was the first but not last time we went on a cruise. Very relaxing with excellent food, service and entertainment onboard. If you spend your money right (choose what is important/necessary for you) this way of traveling can give you "bang for the buck" and not be too expensive. A lot of nice international people onboard (from 40 different countries).
The only thing I can think of that can be improved by Norwegian Cruise is the IT-system/processes (payments, web, keycard, WiFi, online check-in, etc.) that is not supporting the users good enough. The NCL.com web site is not user friendly (responsive) and hard to navigate on in order to get the information you really want. NCL sends you (to) many mails ahead of the trip with a lot of "words" and daily repeating payment information onboard that they (but not me) wants to have access to my credit card. Wonderful to be cash free onboard but not on NCL:s terms.
It was also hard to get correct information about PCR-testing from home 48 hours before departure (even if I called NCL days ahead). That cost me (and other passagers) unnecessarily 90 US dollars and had to be done over again in Pireus (free of charge).
