This is the first review I have ever written (after 15+ cruises). I wanted to write it to express my thoughts on the current state of cruising. Just returned from 7 day eastern Caribbean cruise on the Caribbean Princess and it was a fantastic cruise, we had a great time. Yes, things are not the same as they were before Covid. Yes, there is a lack of steak and higher end cuts of meat on the menu. Yes, there are less activities on board. Yes, some of the technology/internet doesn't work as well as before. Yes, some ships are under staffed. And yes, some people have been getting Covid while on board. These are things that should be expected in a post - Covid world, it's different now. Princess (and all the other cruise lines) took a massive financial hit and it will take a long, long time to recover. And they are experiencing the same staffing challenges as many, many other companies in the hospitality/service industry. They are taking all the pre-cautions they can to prevent illness on board (cleaning, mask recommendations, hand washing facilities, improved ventilation, smaller events on board to reduce crowding). It will take a long time to recover, but it will recover. Things will get better. Princess is doing the best it can under the circumstances. If you are concerned about Covid, wear a mask indoors on the ship. Wash your hands. Avoid crowded events. You can help yourself have an amazing cruise experience. And if things go wrong (it happens) or if there are problems/issues on board, suggest improvements to the staff and move on. It's part of cruising, things sometimes go awry. It will get better. I hope you have found this review helpful.
