Cabin:

I've always wanted to see the western Civil War Battlefields so for our 50th wedding anniversary we took the ACL Miss River cruise. We booked the most expensive cabin, the "owners suite" for $16,000. The cabin was large but mostly empty. They gave us wine everyday and sweet snacks in the afternoon and a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary.

The crew was great with several interesting talks on the rivers history,

The food was so so. After the first dinner I got the norovirus and has several stomach distress. It went away in one day but, foolishly I ate another dinner and got it again. The doctor on board gave me some medicine which stopped the diarrhea and stomach cramps. He told me that several other passengers were suffering from the same sickness. Other than that I enjoyed to tours and cruising. The battlefield and plantation tours were very interesting.

Cabin Review

large but mostly unfurnished, no wifi on the ship and just a few TV channels.
