Boarding in Fort Lauderdale, where we live, was easy. Used the Verifly app which was a little difficult to figure out. We were underway on time to Boston, we have been on this ship several times before and like the smaller size. Immediately noticed maintenance items such as broken wooden trim around one of the hot tubs which was also closed, sound and picture quality of TV in cabin (80's looking model!) was very poor, DVD player not connected. Cabin 2602, outside view has plenty of storage and was kept spotless by room steward, shower had very little water pressure, visit to guest services corrected that the next day. Several treadmills in the gym had tv monitors that did not work, I noticed that they were not plugged in because the cables were to short!
This ship has not had passengers in over two years, I know the pandemic has been hard for the cruise lines, but what were they doing with all that time at sea?
No Mariners club luncheon, had to ask guest services for Mariners welcome aboard drink coupon, happy hour in 2 bars now consists of buy one get 2nd drink at 25% off. HAL started with buy one get 2nd for $1.00, cruised the Rotterdam 2 months ago and happy hr buy one get 2nd for 50%. May soon see the end of happy hr. on HAL.
