First we love Royal and we have sailed many other cruise lines. To level set, we booked a two-story crown loft suite on the 17th floor, it comes with a double story family room and the bedroom is upstairs. The best part of the room is two full bathrooms, one downstairs with a standing shower and the second upstairs with a bathtub shower combo. Because the room is tall but not wide, the deck is a bit smaller, with two full sized lounge chairs; so if you like eating from a table on your balcony you may want to ask for a switch for a table. There is a ton of storage space in the room and two full closets so bring all you want in the way of clothes and personal items. As a suite holder you don't wait in line when you get on board the ship, you go to a lounge area where someone personally greets you and takes your paperwork/ passport and escorts you on the ship. So relaxing and well done. Suite holders also have a private sundeck/ bar on deck 17 near the pool. Also at days where we are in port, the suite holders are taken to exit the ship at the front of the line and when the ship returns home, you get a private escort off the ship.

On the 17th floor you will find the AMAZING Costal Kitchen. This is a lounge for suite holders, they serve a full sit down breakfast lunch and dinner (dinner you need a reservation) and daily cocktails from 5-7 pm. You can get soft drinks, waters, snacks all day long. The suite holder manager, Naida is one of the most terrific and awesome folks we have ever encountered on a cruise. Top Notch all the way!!!

100% feel the drink package is worth it if you drink alcohol; while at home I would not consider us to be heavy drinkers, being on vacation can mean a mimosa at breakfast, a cold beer or cocktail by the pool, wine with dinner and maybe a glass of champagne during a show....it adds up fast.
