Cabin:

I wanted to experience this transatlantic cruise to honor grandparents who braved this experience years ago. This ship, however, was so stable that at times it did not seem to be moving--fantastic weather.

The cabin (deck 8 balcony) was excellent. The shower and bathroom area was quite well organized, without the clinging curtain in the ships of old. Elevators were a dream--fast, responsive, uncrowded. The public rooms and common deck areas were nothing special.

I was disappointed with the lack of enrichment lectures. The schedule was overloaded with trivia meetings and only one "old" Hollywood presentation for several days. RCCL could have presented a lecture about D-Day since one stop was in the vicinity. The musical offerings were sadly non-classical. Although many enjoyed the rock and roll music shows, some of us did not and would have enjoyed a quiet piano spot at one time or another.
