My wife has dreamed of a trip to Egypt since she was a little girl. My reluctance about travel in the region of the world where Egypt lies has kept me from being supportive of fulfilling that dream. We retired in May 2021 and spent some time traveling domestically, but nothing out of the country. Compound my hesitance and the impact COVID has had on our lives, it was time for international travel.

My wife investigated several options and fortunately, a friend recommended a local couple who are travel consultants. They had arranged to join the "Splendors of Egypt and the Nile" trip for a group of people from our town. We fortunately decided to go with them. The journey was remarkable. Albeit one of the busiest vacations we had ever had. The sights, the sounds, the history and the culture of Egypt was on full display. We can't speak highly enough about the staff.

Ship-board hotel staff managed by Sameh El-Sayed were amazing. Everyone on board, from management throughout the organization, was gracious and seriously concerned about our well-being and comfort. We were well-cared for.
