My wife, friends, and I have sailed on various AMA boats on different itineraries. This was my third trip in Europe with AMA. The boat this time was the AMACello.
I will take it on faith that the boat was launched in 2008 but you'd never know it. The paint was fresh - everywhere! Even the winches. The brightwork shone... brightly! The carpets were probably not new, but they looked new. The curtains, linens, towels, sheets, comforters were all immaculate. The pillows were fresh. Our room was impeccably clean. The furniture showed no wear and tear. The A/C/Heater worked without issue. All the bathroom fixtures were clean, bright, shiny and showed no wear.
The dining room was also clean and very well run.
Spotlessly clean. Carpet and curtains were in as-new condition. Nothing worn, damaged, broken, or defective. Pack lightly as there is not a lot of space - more than your standard European hotel room, but not a lot more. Bigger staterooms are available, but you will spend very little time in your room so the benefit that comes at the additional expense is questionable. Vacuum toilets. Stand-up, enclosed shower. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel provided. Nice towels and linens. Macintosh iMAC computer in room along with wifi in the rooms and elsewhere on board. Desk and chair. Reading chair. Night stands. European power plugs. No USB chargers (except for the USB ports on the iMAC)
