I have been on many cruises with various lines and this ranks as the worst. This was a back to service cruise and had I been advised that from the beginning I probably wouldn’t have gone. The internet didn’t work half the time. The medallion worked for a few things the first week but did get better the second. Making reservations for the restaurants never worked correctly. My friend and I always requested to sit at shared tables but that and the times were always wrong. The in room T V worked very sporadic. The spas by the pool weren’t open for the first week. There was no daily activity around the pool except for the band and DJ that played for an hour each. The cruise seemed like it was an assisted living cruise. The dining staff were grossly under trained. The food both on the buffet and in the restaurants were always served cold, sometimes luke warm BUT never hot. And had to be returned numerous times. All the staff members wore masks but none of the passengers. I never saw a person’s face that worked on the ship. But when I did see the crew on an excursion none wore masks. Speaking of the excursions, two of the three we took were awful. Cartagena was disgusting. Way too many beggars and locals trying to ask for money and sell things. They wouldn’t take “no” for an answer and the worst was that the tour guides did nothing to stop them. I did not feel safe at all! The tour guide in Hautulco was inattentive, left people and was arguing with another guide on the same tour route. My cabin didn’t have cold water until the last day of the cruise. During the first week all the staff did was give the excuse that this was a back to service cruise. Sorry not acceptable! This certainly wasn’t up to the reputation of Princess Cruises.

Enjoyed learning it's history and seeing it in operation
