We both with Norwegian spirit to sail to Tahiti and Bora Bora and other Polynesian and Hawaiian Islands. The locations were gorgeous the cruise ship workers we're very helpful and friendly. Norwegian Cruise Lines and it's management left a very sour taste in our mouths. On day two they begin to run out of alcohol mixers and products such as pina colada which for a tropical island vacation is a must. Day by day they began to run out of food products such as peppers onions mayonnaise butter milk juices and much more then they began to run out of alcohol and beer. This Cruise was only booked at half capacity which only left a black eye for this Norwegian Cruise. The cruise director and staff had extremely limited activities on the ship and in fact unless you play trivia four times a day there was very little else scheduled to do. The nightclub was closed so there was no dancing except for the three areas in which we had a singer and guitar player named Chelsea who was excellent, and one band who was okay and they blasted karaoke every night which was about all there was to do. The dancers and shows at night we're excellent. But the shows were very limited and we're only one show per evening and only on three of the evenings. There was a comedian one evening and only one showing. We have been on many Cruise Lines and this by far was the lamest of all of the cruise ships we have been on. They showed a Norwegian commercial non-stop in the atrium rather than allowing for a show or something other than a Norwegian cruise ship commercial advertising other ships. And all the pool deck they did the same exact thing all Norwegian commercials 24/7 whereas Carnival and other ships show movies and invite people to those areas to hang out and enjoy Leisure Time. Not on this ship! Every port look like a shipping container port and only a few had taxis and other shuttle services to get you off to a town available . Everyone from Norwegian was very confused and unable to assist you with any information on getting anywhere . The excursions were very limited and uneventful and overpriced . The luau Excursion through the ship was very disappointing. I felt we were at Gatlinburg or Disneyland and watching a theater play rather than a true luau which was depicted in the description. The food was not good and it definitely was not a luau where the pig from the ground was cooked and served it was merely a buffet line of limited options. Our final Excursion we booked thru the ship was supposed to go to Pearl Harbor for the tour but even that was $89 spent for a shuttle ride once we arrived we were told to go to the standby line as quick as we could and I did not have any tickets for us or reservations. We stood in this line for two hours in the hot sun hoping to get in to see the Arizona Before Time ran out to get back on the bus since Norwegian did not book reservations for anyone. This was very disappointing since we had already paid Norwegian for to take us to the airport and basically was paying them again for the same thing. Overall running out of food running out of alcohol Limited options on the ship for evening entertainment aboard or activities on this ship left us with a very unhappy vacation that should have been the dream of a lifetime. The destinations we're all that made this trip memorable. Norwegian had booked our airfare and flight and when we arrived at the airport found out the flight was oversold and we had no seat assignments. We were lucky enough to get on in Honolulu however when we arrived into Newark New Jersey we were bumped from a flight and after repeated calls to Norwegian and the insurance company provided by Norwegian have received no assistance or even a courtesy call after numerous attempts to reach someone for help. Our flight has now been delayed 4 days and we just received a text that are flight is cancelled yet again. There are no flights going out on United. We were originally booked on American and have no idea why our flight through Norwegian was changed to United or routed through Newark New Jersey by Norwegian air Services. They are not helpful and I would not recommend booking any airfare Services through Norwegian Air Services as they will not help. All they keep telling us is wait for the airlines to put us on another flight when that should be their job since they are the ones who booked this flight and now we are being held hostage. You may consider trying one of the other cruise lines in the future Norwegian as far as this ship is concerned seems to have hit rock bottom.
We had a balcony Suite and on this ship the balcony Suites are very small in comparison to other cruise ships. The bathrooms and showers are extremely small
