Norwegian did wonderfully well, loved the entertainment! Choose the NCL excursions, don't freelance.

Sail Date: Apr 2022

We wanted to visit the 50th state for our 50th anniversary! After studying options, Norwegian seemed like the way to go. We booked a couple of months ahead and kept our fingers crossed that it would go! Probably 50-60% occupancy, so they sensibly kept closed one main and a couple of specialty dining rooms. The food was great! The wines not so much. We heard they were at 35% staffing, but to me it seemed like plenty of staff, and all were cheerful, efficient, and pleasant. The Hawaii DNR had closed the black sand beaches to tour groups, but Norwegian came up with a great workaround of national parks and other sites. We took one private tour (Road to Hana with Valley Isle Tours and do not recommend them). Hilo very rainy, couldn't really see volcano. Recommend Lanai Snorkel, Kawaii Hiking Adventure, Luau Kalamaku, Weimea Canyon. Checked bags at port.

Cabin Review

A little worn on the drawers of the cabinet by the balcony, but everything else was perfect. That kept it from five stars. Rest of ship in excellent shape.
