All new ports and new lock canal transit for us. Ship's first cruise since a three week dry dock. Not sure what work was performed but ship had some issues. I think CP was built in 2004. The first thing we noticed was all the windows on the Lido deck were so filthy dirty you could barely see thru them and the window in our restricted view cabin on Emerald deck 8 cabin E308 also dirty. One morning and most of a day we had a sewer odor in the room but it cleared without being reported and one morning while trying to sleep in awoke to the smell of a crew member painting something near our cabin door. We could see outside well enough it is a large square window. We liked the location of the cabin it was really close to the mid ship elevators and a pretty short walk to the front elevators which put us close to the Coral Dining room. Dine my way and making a reservation for the most part was a waste of time, people that didn't make a reservation were seated sometimes faster than those of us that made a reservation. The Medallion App was hit or miss when it worked it was great other times it had to be deleted and re-installed on your smart phone and I have a new iPhone 13, others had more trouble than I did.

The cruise and ports were very good. Ice cream, pizza, hot dogs pretty good. The buffet food was not as good as pre-covid cruising, item selections was small. We struggled to find things to eat for breakfast and lunch. Dinner service in the MDR was slow if you was at a table of 5 or more people count on it taking 2 hours or more for dinner. Hot items was not always served hot, during the cruise a few menu items were really good, most were just average or less. Worst food I tried was Veal Cor Don blue awful couldn't swallow the first bite. Let me say my wife and I ARE NOT picky eaters. We felt the food was not up to the usual Princess Cruise Line standard.

Don't get me wrong the entire crew was outstanding and we enjoyed the cruise and ports of call but the food was a real disappointment. It got old skipping breakfast and having pizza or a hot dog for lunch.
