We have cruised many times on all the major cruise lines. We were on the Apex April 16-23, 2022. What a beautiful ship with unique, modern art work. We loved everything about it, the food, the entertainment, the service. We canceled three cruises during the height of the pandemic and it felt great to be cruising again.

Our cabin was 7218, midship. Very comfortable and quiet, never felt any movement. We have mixed feelings about the infinity balcony. The view was pretty from the couch, the room was somewhat larger. But we still prefer a regular balcony with lounge chairs and more of an outdoor feeling as opposed to a room with a large window that opens half way. The bed was comfortable. My husband felt his pillow was too hard. No problem getting a softer pillow. The room needs more hooks for example for hanging wet bathing suits. Also it needs a second outlet in the bathroom. The bathroom was large with a good shower. The temperature in the room was easy to regulate with a very responsive thermostat.

On to the food. It was all excellent. We ate in the four main dining rooms and then three specialty restaurants for dinners for the week. We were very pleased with the food and service everywhere. A few standouts include the Rooftop Grill and the Fine Cuts Steak house. The Rooftop Grill was a unique experience on a ship with the outdoor seating and the grilling. We had the best filet mignon and rib eye steak ever. Fine Cuts had excellent shrimp cocktail. The tomahawk steaks were fun. A bit fatty but tasty with a variety of sauces and side dishes. Brownie Sundae for dessert was so good.
