We selected this cruise based upon the recommendation of a friend and travel agent. Initially, we had planned to take a Scenic cruise on the Danube river in 2020. However, the pandemic postponed the trip and we opted to choose a cruise in primarily one country as opposed to four. It was an excellent choice. First of all, our first night stay at the five star hotel in Porto was excellent. All the aspects of the cruise were handled professionally and with great care by the Scenic staff and crew. This was our first experience with Scenic and we were very impressed with the comments from other (very seasoned) passengers as to their delight with Scenic above and beyond their experiences with other cruise lines. Kudos to Phillipe (sic) and his excursion guides, along with the management for the navigation, dining, entertainment, etc that we experienced. We will certainly consider Scenic as our primary choice for one or more future excursions.
