We picked this transitional cruise because the 6 days at sea gave us plenty of time to relax.
Embarkation was chaotic. We had used the Medallion app to provide all required info well ahead of time. We were given an 11:30 check-in time. We found that the Priority line for boarding (Platinum and Elite level passengers) was significantly longer and slower than the other line. No explanation given for the crummy treatment for their loyal passengers.
We booked a table for the 4 of us at one of the main restaurants for the same time every night. The service was great, with food choices interesting, especially the inclusion of some type of fish every night. Some listed wines by the glass were unfortunately not available but we found others that were ok. We also booked the steak house on two nights and the Italian restaurant one night. The steaks were great but the Italian not as good as past Princess cruises.
The cabin, while seeming a bit smaller than what we've had on other Princess ships, was ok. There were a few signs, mostly in the bathroom, that the ship was getting in need of some refurbishment.
Our Cabin steward was great. When we left for breakfast, he quicky refreshed the room while we were gone.
