We were offered a GREAT deal to board this ship to the Mexican Rivera. 140.00 per person, 7 days.
Never having been to the west coast my wife and I jumped at the deal. Needless to say, it was one of our BEST cruises. The three ports, (Puerta Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo) were super. We loved them all and found the people to be SO friendly and helpful. We would do this trip again and have things to do and see in each port again.
The cabin layout was perfect. For a small interior it had enough room. The AC worked great. The only downside was it came with only 1 closet to hang your belongings...
We certainly enjoyed our time in Cabo. The weather was great. We were a bit thrown because the ship anchors at 0630 and stores do not open till 10 am. We waited around town till they did. So, if you go take a later water shuttle than 0700. The town was so clean, people friendly and the convenience stores were very in expensive. Ex. 2 1 liter bottles of water were one dollar.
We shopped the town and loved bargaining for everything.
THE PLACE TO STOP - DON'T MISS IT
The Happy Ending bar. 2 double shots of tequila and 2 beers - 5 Bucks. A great way to top off a super port day in Cabo.
We had a GREAT day in this port. With all the things to do and excursions to take, we opted for and all-inclusive at a hotel that was walking distance from the ship. Since we had a long port day here, we certainly got our monies worth out of the all-inclusive.
We used the Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel & Mexican Charm for the day. If your looking for a day pass in this port - DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE. 39 dollars each. The drinks were plenty, made to your perfection, the food was outstanding and the pool was just wonderful. If you prefer the beach, the hotel has a shuttle to their beach and it has a bar set up for drinks to be served there as well along with snacks.
This was an all day event and would do it again in a heartbeat. We had a super lunch buffet and a dinner and the snack bar before the day ended. Did I mention the Drinks were plenty and delish.....
We slipped over to the Walmart before we hit the ship. Fun Fun..
We opted for an all-day tour with a taxi driver. He took us to all the hot spots and stopped anywhere we asked him too. we saw all of old and new Mazatlan. He spoke very good English which made the day even better. I suggest anyone to go out of the cruise port to the street and pick up a taxi for the day at half the cost of the cruise excursions. The weather was super, and the car was Ac and comfortable. You could opt for the open-air cabs they have as well...
