Sail Date: May 2022
Cabin: Ocean View with Large Balcony
Traveled with children

Ship itself is rather stunning! Cabin was good, but smaller than we had on Carnival. A few stains on couch that apperead removable, but were not cleaned. Shower had a leak at the connection to the controls, and tv remote was broken. Replacement remote was broken as well. Food wa good, but not exceptional. Several dishes were somewhat overcooked. Ship sailed well, minimal ocean sway. Cleanliness/disinfection protocol might be improved upon. Seemed odd that wait staff wore masks, yet no gloves as they flitted from table to table to kitchen. Boarding was a bit chaotic, but not too lengthy. Disembarcation was a literal breeze. We went in a group of five and on the Saturday before port arrival several of us become mildly ill (cold-like). Upon arrival home, granddaughter was spikig 104-degree temperature and four of the five of us tested positive for Covid. Seapass did not work to make show reservations, so guest services took out cabin and shows and assured us they would make them. Never happened. We did the Hamden Rum tour in Jamaica and it was utter chaos as several ships and groups were combined. When we finally arrived at the distillery they said it was too many people. During the chaos at the terminal point for the excursion, one ship had not one, but three, ship representatives assisting to unravel the mess. Nobody appeard from the Harmony. One of the other ship representatives even called the Harmony to alert them to get some people down to the terminal. Never saw them. Not a good experience from Royal.

Cabin Review

Ocean View with Large Balcony

Nice cabin, good bed and pillows, couch had stained which appeared to be surface stains but were not removed, shower had a slight leak at one connection. Room was smaller than we had for similar category on Carnival. Balcony was large enough but on deck 6, salt spray continually occluded the glass panels.

Port Reviews

Nassau

The disembarking was chaotic due to construction. A long walk to get to the town areas, especially if you are older. Could not obtain drinks in most locations or make purchses until 11:30 (tried going to Senor Frogs), ended up returning to the ship. Straw market is a wee bit crazy, but deals can be had. beware of people pushing facial products and botox! Very pushy!

Falmouth

Port area for excursions was utter chaos! Took an RCCL excrsion to Hamden Distillery. No assistance on shore from our ship, although other ships had representatives available. Shop area at port was very nice.

Labadee

Food on shore was so-so, beaches were nice, Straw market is VERY high pressure... be forewarned!

Perfect Day at CocoCay

Very well laid out, Food and drinks were excellent. Areas were clean and plenty of chaairs available.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We onlly embarked and disembarked, but everything went VERY smoothly!
