The TransAtlantic cruise was fine, the cabin was great nice size and and balcony was small but that was expected. I loved the 6 sea days crossing the ocean.
Embarkation was fine, our covid tests from CVS didn't come in on time so we had to pay $100 dollars to test at the port. unexpected cost but we wanted to get on the ship. Boarding went fast easy check in after testing on board in about 45 minutes that includes testing.
Our cabin was a mini sutie on the Lido deck, awsome location as we spent most of time outside. Our cabin stewart was great he went above and beyond for us. I had an issue with the supper mushy mattress that Princess call luxury beds. they were so bad I had to sleep on the floor the first 2 nights just to get some sleep. Our cabin Stewart offered to flip the matteress over to the Hard side, then I was able to sleep in the bed what a difference that made. I will remember this option for future cruises.
Great location on the Lido deck, easy access to the outside decks. Cabin was spacious and the bathroom large.
We like the Azores, but on the bus tour we took we were the only ones wearing a mask, 3 women coughing the whole time. I think we were exposed here to covid.
took a walking tour from Viator, awesome guide. much better then taking a bus tour. only problem in Brest was you had to take shuttle buses into town, again we were in the minority wearing masks.
Great tour to the Normandy beaches. Heard other complaing to the shore excursion desk later that their tour just drove by and didn't stop. I read the tour they were on and it clearly stated that it would drive by the beaches and never was listed as a stop in the details. They were demanding their money back, I hope they didn't get it because they didn't read the details, I hate when people complain but didn't read.
The ship skipped Skagen
