Cabin: Deluxe Nordic Balcony

We wanted to experience the new expedition ship, Viking Octantis. We chose this trip as it had several stops in the Caribbean before heading to NYC. We had a wonderful trip and enjoyed all that Octantis had to offer. While the entertainment was fine, it was not the same as one would find on a larger ship. We knew this from the start so were not disappointed, but that's why I rated the entertainment 4 out of 5.

We enjoyed the scientific activities and speakers very much. We are impressed with everything that Viking is doing for scientific research and collaboration with other educational and scientific organizations.

The passengers were Covid tested each day and we felt very safe. Staff wore masks at all times.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Nordic Balcony

The cabin was lovely. We enjoyed the drying closet for wet swimming attire and the motorized window which opened so that we could utilize the "interior balcony". There were many amenities including a small refrigerator and a coffee machine. The only complaint that we have about the room is that the closet is built into a corner and the two doors can be awkward to swing open.
