This was our first voyage on an Oasis class ship. Overall, we had a great time. The ship can be overwhelming but there was a lot to choose from. The first thing I would recommend is to get on early, find a place to camp out and get on the app and make your event reservations for events during the cruise. The staff was outstanding during the entire cruise, I did feel bad for them having to still wear masks. Overall the entertainment was average. I actually thought the Grease production was pretty good after reading several poor reviews. Perhaps it took them a bit to get it down. There was one very good comedian and one not so good. As is common, this was often in a venue that was too small and hard to get into. The skaters were very good though the production was a bit bizarre. I enjoyed the diving thought the rest of that show didn't do much for me. Food overall was average. St. Thomas and St. Maarten are two of my favorites though I prefer to dock at the older dock in St. Thomas though this can't be helped with this ship. We were the only ship in port in St. Maarten though a holiday cut down on things open in port.

We traveled with another couple and it wasn't always easy to find each other. We did not pay the extra to use the communication app. Perhaps RCCL could do something similar to Princess with their ability to find fellow travelers with the Medallion app. I actually think the overall experience would be easier to navigate by a single couple on a cruise.

Cabin Review

I really think this cabin is an excellent value! It was large and had extra seating (window seat). I was concerned noise from outside might be a problem though it never was. Nice to have a bit of natural light in the morning. Our Cabin Steward (Jorge) was excellent.

Port Reviews

Perfect Day at CocoCay

We enjoyed the island and found it easy to find seats on the beaches though a bit more difficult to find. We were in port with a Freedom class ship and arrived late due to an emergency passenger evacuation the evening before. The weather was not ideal so this may have kept the numbers down. The extras on the island are much too expensive in my opinion though they looked nice.
