We chose this cruise just for the experience of seeing Antarctica. Our expectations were greatly exceeded! Everything was first class…the crew, the food, the service, the lectures and activities. We’ve since booked two more Viking cruises! While the initial cost may be more expensive, when you consider that a lot of the other cruise line extras are included, it’s worth the price. Wouldn’t cruise any other way! The landings were phenomenal. The wildlife…amazing. The lectures and films were so informative. We never felt like we were being herded…no specific dining times, no crowds and no kids! We met so many amazing people. My husband is vegan and he had many food choices; when the grille chef found out he was vegan, he even made special dinners for him! We had 2 “special” cafe attendants who made special coffee for us and knew our preferences for every meal. The bread chef gave us great bread baking tips. We have recommended Viking cruising to all of our friends.
