Health:

Two old ladies went on this cruise and had a great vacation! We are seniors and my friend's husband attended a family wedding on the other side of the country while we sailed the seas. We were concerned about CoVid but decided to trust HAL's commitment to health. We were not disappointed. We wore our masks throughout the cruise, everywhere, except when eating, drinking or in our stateroom. On the final few days of the cruise it was compulsory (rather an optional) to wear KN95 masks, as supplied by HAL. Signs were everywhere Masking Required. We felt safe and took necessary precautions, including masking in the gym, on the machines and in gym classes.

Cabin Review

Verandah Stateroom

This balcony cabin is adequate for two people. I previous reviews I noted several complaints about the position of the toilet. It would probably concern people who are over six feet, or obese. There is lots of room under the bed for luggage and closets and drawers for two old ladies. The stewards are exceptional in their ability to service so many cabins. Want 2 hints? Offer your stewards $10 each on the first day and tell them what you want especially, for example, I like disinfecting the remote control and other surfaces. I like ice and fresh water in a water jug daily. The 2nd hint? Ask them about their families. Remember that they are far from home, work long hours and are away for months at a time.
