Food on buffet was good but did not seem like it changes much from day to day. Burgers and Hot Dogs were almost unedible, under heat lamps and dried out. Sodas were like $3.75 each, buffet drink area for water or lemonade you had to be served by a waiter behind a roped off section but you were allowed to serve yourself on the buffet line ? Main Dining room portions were smaller as compared to American cruise ships.

We filled out online request for the Loyalty match program to match our Platinum on Carnival and was approved to Gold status, however when we got onboard we were Blue and did not receive the status match. We also were supposed to receive $50 per person onboard credit which we did not receive. When we asked onboard we were told to call when we got off and ask about it, what good will that do after we get off Cruise?

When I booked my cruise I was given a choice of cabins and selected one, when I went to check in prior to cruise I was then gave a guaranteed room and could not checked in. Called several times and told to call back(why did I select a cabin if they were not assigning it to me). Called and was told they asssign rooms Theo weeks out, called and said 4 days before, called and was told three days before, called then told do it ship because you have to check in online 48 hours before you board. Finally got cabin assignment while on the way to ship and called and the young lady was kind enough to check us in on phone and we had to stoop and print off our luggage tags and boarding pass on the way. Ship was gorgeous, clean and Asian staff was great, European staff not so much as expected. If MSC wants to compete in the American market they could improve the food a little and logistics maybe, when you call about a cruise you are doing so like a person in the U.S. but if you have a problem then it has to go through the main Company in Europe
