We cruised Vista because we had a massive amount of onboard credit from a cruise being cancelled. We went with our only daughter. We had two daughters but lost one to Covid in 2020. Love Vista. Maybe because we had so much money to spend, but it was great. The food was wonderful. Shows were great. The Diamond and Platinum Reunion was amazing. We had not been on a Carnival ship in about 2 years before the pandemic, so about 4 years altogether. I thought they had really upgraded things like food. They did switch two ports on us, but that was OK since we were cruising. We had taken some ashes, just a small vial from our daughter that we had lost recently. We thought of just trying to spread them ourselves, but it was so windy the next to last sea day. We went to guest services and ask and she said she would have to check and get back with us. She set it up for 11A.M. that last sea day. We met with a couple of lovely hostesses and a security guard. The guard took us down below and into a restricted area. They waited for us about 50 feet away. They told us to take all the time we needed. It was such an emotional time for us and our only daughter Then later that day a very nice folder arrived with a photo of the ship and a letter signed by the captain expressing condolences. It also included the GPS location of the spreading in the Caribbean. For that we are so grateful. They came through for us on such short notice. For all that, we have booked another cruise end of May on Vista. We won't have so much OBC, but we are hoping for Grand Cayman and Jamaica this time. Those were the cancelled ports. We have always loved Carnival, with 21 cruises. This one was especially memorable. One we will never forget. Thanks Vista captain, crew and Carnival.

Cabin Review

Wasn't sure of our category. It was a balcony on deck 6. We had booked an Oceanview, but they allowed us to upgrade for a fee. Very nice. Comfortable bed. Plenty of room. Just part of the experience. Did like the balcony. Steward was fantastic. Always clean room and clean towels. Loved it.
