We chose this cruise as it was the maiden voyage of Ambience the new and at the moment only ship of the new Ambassador cruise line. We used to enjoy Cruise and Maritime and thought we would do theirs as a taster for the new line. The fact the cruise left from Tilbury was good for us too.

Embarkation was the quickest ever followed by copious amounts of free bubbly at the very lively sailaway. We had the cheapest grade inside cabin which although old fashioned was immaculate with ample storage. Unfortunately like many of the cabins we had teething problems of a plug that didn’t work and a light. Although quick to respond it took a while to fix and we eventually moved next door.

The public rooms were amazing and although outside decks weren’t quite ready they were soon finished.

Cabin Review

Inside cabin on deck 5. It had lots of storage 17 drawers and three small wardrobes. Had two bunk beds from the ceiling which took up room. We had the cabin as a twin but as a double it would be tight. It was a quiet cabin near reception, a small ship so nowhere far especially with the many big lifts. Bedding was all new and comfortable. Just a shame there were electrical problems .
