We had been quite isolated and without any of our favorite pastimes of cruising, fine dining, socializing (did I mention cruising?) for over 2 years. Like many cruisers, we were hesitant to cruise again with so many concerns and changes to our past 11 cruises. We found this cruise (second leg of RTW) booked and paid in full two weeks in advance-Gulp!

Oceania is our favorite line and Regatta was our honeymoon cruise ship 5/13. We figured Insignia ship and crew had to be wonderful as it cared for passengers for 6 months. We embarked Port of Los Angeles, had organized pre cruise testing and began a sun-filled holiday with sun-seeking fully vaxxed passengers/crew to every Hawaiian Island disembarking in Tahiti. Did I say how much we enjoy sea days?

We really did feel cared for and quite safe. Each morning at 7am, I heard crew 'fumigating' halls and again at 5pm. All pools were drained and cleaned each night. All passengers were masked in public areas and if a mask was forgotten, then a gentle nudge and a fresh mask appeared from staff. Captain and senior crew were kept in a bubble but we caught a few glimpses when they would walk on the crew deck and daily noon announcements from the Captain.
