We chose this cruise as it was a nice introductory length after lockdown and because we have sailed with Celebrity several times before, we would not be too far from home and the itinerary was good.
However in our opinion some things had deteriorated on Celebrity, namely the quality of food in the Grand Cuvee restaurant which was not consistent, and also the speciality restaurant Tuscan Grille which was very disappointing - the food was over seasoned and just dropped on the plate with no effort or care taken, the tables are chipped around the edge and the table mats quite stained. There was no colour, plants or flowers anywhere and the experience was very far removed from our previous experience in the Tuscan Grille on other Celebrity cruises. However we were delighted to experience the same high level of cuisine and service in Murano as we had done in other cruises.
All public rooms and bars were very clean and pleasant with some beautiful wall murals although there was a huge shortage of seats in the evening, especially where entertainment was going on.
We found our cabin to be well thought out with enough hanging space and nice deep drawers, the balcony had two sturdy lie-back chairs and a little coffee table and we liked the fact it was totally private and not overlooked in any way.
The bed was sublimely comfortable with good quality linens and plump pillows.
The bathroom was adequately equipped with a decent overhead shower and a lot of storage space. Importantly the towels were spotlessly white and fairly fluffy.
