Let me start this review by saying I have cruised a lot - well over 100 cruises. My wife and I have cruised on the IOS a number of times. It’s not often that we’ve had a terrible experience on any ship. However, this cruise is one of the five worst I’ve ever experienced.

The dining room service was basically non-existent. My wife and I have never had worse dining service. I’m not sure what caused the breakdown, but our waiter and his assistant seemed to not know what they were doing. It was if they were in confusion - like Moe and Curly were serving our food. I ordered escargot every night. It came out cold every time. That was just one of the many things that was a disaster. When things were brought to their attention, there seemed to be no apology given for the failure. The food in the Windjammer was as bad as ever along with crowds that made it difficult to maneuver.

The ship was at capacity - much to my surprise. Signs were posted about maintaining social distancing ——- Seriously? Elevators were packed when you could get one. I will not even talk about the line at guest relations. The line for pizza would sometimes stretch a quarter way down the Royal Promenade. The entertainment - one guest comedian/juggler and the music of Grease (not the full musical), and the ice show. Shows were done at awkward times for those in second seating dining - not sure who was making up the schedules.

Perfect Day at CocoCay

Coco Cay is great! It was the bright spot in our cruise.
