We recently went on the lower Mississippi River cruise on the American Melody ship. This is a brand new ship and it was wonderful. Everything we so nice but the best part are the crew. There wasn't anything you could not ask for that they would not try to arrange or provide for you. They were courteous and professional but yet very warm and friendly. The shore trips were great, they were so interesting and most were included with the cruise free of charge. The food was more than good. It was something different everyday and they offered enough choices that you always could find what you wanted. Also, there is a little cafe on the fourth deck that was open from breakfast until dinner time. I cannot say how easy American Cruise Line makes it for you, everything is ready and done for you including loading and unloading your baggage. We will most definitely cruise with them again.
