It's probably going to be difficult to describe the full extend of our disappointment with this cruise, but I'll give it my best try, with as much detail as possible so that you can appreciate why we were so disappointed.

Embarkation

Got on after spending an endless time waiting for an antigen test (which later showed up on the invoice as a $65 pp charge, when it doesn't even cost half that in Italy), waiting to get my cruise card etc. Our luggage took approximately 6 hours to arrive at our cabin.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony

Having a separate toilet rather than a toilet in the bathroom is not a bad idea as such. On land, it's considered a "luxury design". On the Epic, given the ridiculously small space allotted per cabin, the execution of that design is faulty. The cabin door doesn't open all the way, the toilet doesn't have enough space for your left knee when sitting on the toilet with the door closed, the shower is super small. The fridge was very small as well and not performant enough as drinks placed inside did not become cold enough. Think diet Pepsi foaming in your mouth. Dirty carpet and windows, as you would expect from a ten minute clean. Rusting railing and very dirty glass.
