We just came off the Apex sailing (4/23/22-4/30/22) and would like to comment on the entire experience. The ship is a marvel. The way it is laid out (the Edge class) made movement about the ship easy and not crowded. Granted we sailed less than capacity (2,200 out of 2,900). We were impressed with the way dining rooms were spaced. We had chosen Aqua class and enjoyed our breakfasts and several dinners there. We also ate in the Normandie, Cyprus and Tuscan dining rooms. We availed ourselves of one specialty restaurant, the Fine Cut Steakhouse. In each restaurant we ate in the service was impeccable; the food was served hot and timely. The dining rooms were intimate with appropriate lighting. We had upgraded the beverage package and enjoyed some good selections of wines and liquors.

Our cabin in AquaClass included the infinity veranda. Not a traditional balcony but one where a window could be lowered to allow the sea air in. In talking to fellow cruisers some were disappointed because they wished for a traditional balcony. We enjoyed it because the way the doors folded in the opening position we had the benefit of 43 additional square feet in our room plus two chairs and a table! Our cabin seemed more spacious and functional. On past cruises (we have done 100+ cruises in the past 50 years) we have not collectively utilized the balcony space as much as we did on this one cruise!

Now for the “people” part. The entire crew on this ship was one of the best we’ve ever experienced. From our room steward to our waiter to the concierge staff we were met with nothing but smiles and “how can we make your cruise more enjoyable”.
