Crew was outstanding and tried very hard to be accommodating. Many of staff in windjammer and dining rooms were very helpful and attentive. However, feel that upper management made terrible choices as regards food choices and it felt like RCI didn't care that there was essentially no food option for lunch after 3pm or after 8pm other than park cafe. RCI should be embarrassed to call that an option. Gas station prepackaged sandwiches, cold in the middle panini sandwiches and what tasted like frozen pizza were pathetic. And there were long lines on port days to acquire this dreck.

In Windjammer, other than omelet station all food was pre-made and left to dry out. Hamburgers were unappetizing, reminded me of hockey pucks, and there was nothing made to order. Desserts in Windjammer were weird, a few choices of things in cups many nights, slices of pie another night, cupcakes on another. Only alternative was mediocre and dried out bread pudding stuck in with dinner choices. Cookies were doled out like they were made of gold and only available if you asked. In the coffee cafe on deck 6, only other dessert option other than park cafe, cookies were stale. Dining times conflicted with shows and my time dining was either 5 30pm or 8 pm. Neither are acceptable.

Giovanni's on 1st night of cruise had stale bread and soggy cannolis. Why? Would like to state that crew were exceptionally concerned and tried to make things better. We felt bad for them, but the problem wasn't caused at that level but by decisions higher up. Even if the food was this bad, the hours of operation should have been expanded so there were some better options between 3 to 6 and after 8pm. After a show or movie, it would have been nice to sit and have something pleasant as a snack, not in a cluttered dark corner of the solarium. We were totally unprepared for how badly the food and hours of operation were handled. No good telling us the ship was only in service for a month. It is the current cruise that the passengers will remember, not something in the future they will be hesitant to try based on this one. RCI, very disappointing- feels like no one in upper management cares at all.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Ocean view cabin- . Room outdated but in great shape. Everything worked. No refrigerator and had show curtain. Good storage, nice bedside table with drawers (not shelves). Convenient location.
