My wife and i used to love ncl -they have fallen far . WE TOOK THE GEM AND WE WERE PLATINUM PLUS MEMBERS AND NOW SOME DOPES AT NCL DECIDE TO CHANGE THE LOYALTY PROGRAM TO WHERE MOST PERKS WERE SEVERELY ALTERED OR TAKEN AWAY FOR EXAMPLE FREE WIFI BECAME 20% OFF VERY EXPENSIVE WIFI

Ncl has zero interest in becoming better or even caring about problems as we took a couple cruises since the restart and our ncl cruises were not organized and chaotic to say the least . There were almost all foreigners running the important places and they barely comprehended english and certainly did not know basic math . Let me start from the beginning, we had to book a hotel jan 28th in nyc due to the huge blizzard coming in a day before our cruise on jan 29th . We realize weather is apart of travel and this has nothing to do with ncl . The storm was brutal and we were very lucky to hail a cab to get to the port . We took our covid test and everything was fine and we went to board.

First of all we were now considered saffire for our loyalty rewards and were supposed to get priority embarkment (and disembarkment ) both of which never happened and many of the workers had conflicting information to the point where we were moved from one place to amother only to be put back in the original line we were this delayed us getting on the ship . The disembarkment process was alot worse . Ncl employees were either very uninformed about getting off early for priority guests or they were straight up lying so they did not have to deal with opening up the other doors earlier for higher loyalty guests since the ship only had apx 400 passengers and they chose not to bother . They definately took many short cuts on this trip and our next ncl trip . We would have stopped taking ncl after our first bad trip with them but we not only had a few next cruise rewards but also fcc credits to use , so we are forced even now to still go on atleast 2 more ncl cruises or lose our money toward them . First ncl were very very lax with cruisers having on their masks indoors as many were walking maskless even while not seated or having drinks , second the ship was pretty dirty and many tables and chairs had crumbs or we sticky , plain out unacceptable . The room stewart was not on the ball and needed to be reminded often to fill up our ice bucket or to vacuum up the sand and he often left some of our breakfast dishes until night cleanup . The front desk and shore excusions desk were useless and barely comprehended english . We had spoken a few times to the front desk having to correct their problems of overcharging us and the same for the excusion desk . The ncl loyalty program provides for a 15% shore excusion discount and on every excursion and we had to remind them to each time and upon following up the would always forget to alter our invoice . This took a few hrs out of our time since we had to go to the front desk first and then to the shore excusions waiting apx 5-10 mins in each line and then they each took another 5-10 mins to talk to and correct . The front desk also had to investigate charges we were supposed to have for free or reduced such as our free specialty dining perk where they charged us 119 dollars and they argued saying well the resturant put a charge on to which i said this is our free perk they had our voucher and i signed a receipt of zero. I can go on about alot of things but i will just touch on a few . The salad dressings and condements such as bbq sauce or nacho cheese were mostly water!! We informed the matre d many times and although he fixed it each time -the next day the same problem would happen . The excusions were very unorganized and we left late on a few .the shows had noise problems the mics were blasted on high and were ear piercing . I highly recommend taking another ship like celebrity or princess as they are on the ball and take care or problems fast . I called ncl and told them they could care less and gave excuse after excuse not accountability . Ps our 2nd ncl cruise this year was alot worse and more of the same waterered down dressings ect .. over cooked or under cooked foods too much to talk about .

We were forced to do this cruise or similar or lose our fcc /next cruise to expiration . We were hoping for st thomas and grand turk but got ports altered and missed . puerta plata was very poor and not much to do . Water had debris in it.
