We have been on many lines for many years (1994 first cruise on Sovereign) Celebrity and RCCL have been our favorites. We missed cruising tremendously so booked several when things reopened. Oct 2021 Allure, Nov 2021 Independence and just now finished a 4 night on Oasis. You can look up my review on Allure and see what a great time we had. Things on this trip, not so much. We have a Princess coming up in Next month in Alaska.

Embarkation...we left out of Miami and though it's far and traffic laden, it's easy once you get there and we were on within 15 minutes of our 12 o'clock arrival time. Room and no poltergeists noted and there was little noise from deck 15 above EVER. Room was great as elevators were right there and it was immaculate except for needing a new couch a long time ago! Our steward was one of the best we have ever had. Kept our ice full and the room spotless!

Food...a real letdown. Windjammer, way off their normal game and nothing was ever hot. MDR we went to the first 2 nights. I had Prime Rib first night. It was awful, the potato croquets were inedible both texture and taste and not hot at all. The broccoli was cold and hard. Desserts aren't my thing but there was nothing I saw that would change my mind. Second night we had the sirloin which on Allure had been one of the best steaks ever. They were not on this ship. My baked potato would not even melt my butter. Third night we ate at Chops Grill figuring the 64.99 up charge would address the quality question. It did NOT. My wife had a Filet which was decent and I had the Rib Eye that was another rib off the cow I ate from on night 2. Wine was good. Appetizers (shrimp cocktail and crab cake) were fabulous. The lobster bisque was NOT a good pick for me but my wife's wedge salad was fine. I asked for any kind of sorbet for dessert. They had it on the dessert menu, the waiter brought me butter pecan ice cream....not the same thing. Very disappointed with the 200 dollar dinner (wine included) Last night we ate in the windjammer and picked a few things we knew we could count on. Salad etc. Johnny Rockets the burgers were the same slop served on 16 but they charge you for them. The milk shake was good and was covered with my drink package. Portside BBQ for lunch was pretty good. All in all, it is the first time I have left a cruise without being blown away by the chef. A pity for sure.

balcony outside. Clean and tidy except the couch needs replacing a while ago!

Nice diversion but the hawkers are brutal and ruthless
