Have sailed with American Cruise lines from Seattle to San Juan islands. Was a great experience. The American Revolution trip was less than satisfactory. No internet on board. Phones in cabins did not work. Service in dining room was poor. Food quality not the best. Was served ice cream in hot dish so it melted before it could be eaten. Service at Sky lounge was awful. Hamburgers were raw! Self service Breakfast in Sky Lounge inconsistent. No lemon for tea, no toaster for bagel, cream cheese not available every morning. There was no Chardonnay on board until last 2 days. Wine on board was not worth drinking, Keurig in cabin did not have regular coffee. Finally got some , but not enough for entire cruise.
Cabin turn turn down service happened a few times and not both beds. Bath mat only left once and had to continually. Ask for wash cloths.
Time in Williamsburg was only a few hours, not nearly long, and cost $60. Too many nights in Portsmouth and not much there. Marla who gave information each night was hard to follow. She seemed very impressed with herself When giving Tech tips she was reading from a direction sheet and really didn’t seem to know what she was talking about.
Spacious and comfortable. Not particularly attractive. Nice that you could watch entertainment etc in Chesapeake lounge on TV.
