We wrapped up our Viking Orion cruise 4/25/22. I have never been so frustrated on a cruise before and we are to somewhere around 30 cruises now, all ocean. This a long review. I hope it is helpful.

The ship: This was our first cruise on Viking. It is a gorgeous ship. There are many comfortable seating areas. There is a buffet called the World Cafe and the main dining area is called The Restaurant. There are 2 specialty restaurants. There are books ever here which you can borrow. There is a cafe area on deck one. Our room was immaculate and the bathrooms are very nice with heated floors and fog free mirrors. Nice showers and toilets that actually flush! Good bad the ship is so poorly managed.

Communication: We just kept missing Other cruise lines we have sailed, particularly the communication from the Captain. We were totally in the dark regarding sea conditions and we had some rough sea conditions, since we missed two ports. The Captain never mentioned the wave heights or winds. He would only give the speed that we were going. There was a channel on their tv where we could see the track of the ship, but nothing about the sea state. This Captain mumbled his way thru his announcements and they were every day at noon and were very short. It seemed like the last thing he wanted to be doing, This was so unlike our Azamara experience in Dec on Quest.

Thank you for taking the time to detail your experience, takemewithyou. Your kind praise for your specialty restaurant waitstaff is appreciated, and we're pleased to hear that dining...
