Having visited Porto on a cruise twice before, we were keen to see the valley and booked Emerald Radiance on the recommendation of our travel agent and we’re certainly not disappointed.
Generally very well organised, a smaller ship to fit the locks but modern with excellent facilities for its size. Crew were all local and amazing without exception.
A few niggles meaning 4/5 (internet didn’t work for 4 days which caused problems for many passengers especially non Europeans, but mainly for the crew who had no emails etc.), food service seemed disorganised meaning that dinner took longer than we would have like but the food was excellent.
Cabin Review
Whilst relatively small compared to what we are used to, the design was highly effective and the unique ‘scenic window’ enlarges your inside space whilst giving all the benefit of a balcony and opportunity to make the most of the scenes.
