We choose this cruise for the destination, Bordeaux. As such, the cruise met our expectations and then some. There were also many daily exercise options including long bicycle rides which we enjoyed.

The staff was solicitous, friendly and professional. The cruise was kept clean and COVID special protocols were in place.

The food was the big disappointment. From the appetizers which were offered twice (small tartlets with cream cheese filling in a country like France!) to the food in the main dinning room. The food was made with fresh ingredients- however, the offerings were plain- the usual green salad which one day would be adorned with two very small piece of asparagus was called “asparagus salad”, another day there was corn niblets and this was the difference. The main meals were not always warm, and not often representative of France. Do we need to have tiramisu (which was not even an accurate rendition of this dessert, instead, chocolate pudding with one lady finger), tagliatelle, and I cannot remember the rest it was so unimpressive. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would give 3/5 for food and if one likes good food, then this cruise is not for you-it will disappoint.
