The (Infamous) Medallion - Mine never came in the mail but I was advised "Fear Not" they willl give you one at the port, no problem - WRONG -

Embarkation - I arrived at the port at 2:15 PM when it is usually quite to Board - It was quite but that did not help me in my quest to get a medallion. After being passed from person to person (Some of whom were unfriendly) I was given a plastic card to allow me board 75 minutes later, having stood in a warehouse with NO air conditioning. Upon boarding I was informed I could not access my cabin without the wretched medallion. To obtain it I now had to stand in a line (queue) for a further 45 minutes at the inefficent purser's desk where staff seemed to meander on and off duty to their hearts content! Finally I received the Medallion and quickly darted around the corner to test it with a coffee - Guess what ? It did not work! I can only imagine hauling 3 carry on's to my Cabin 6 decks up and at the very stern of the ship to find I had no access . I doubled back to the desk and was provide a new one, (without waiting) which I again immediatly tested. It worked.

I arrived at my cabin almost 4 hours after arriving at the check-in! TERRIBLE start .... but NO ...One case was missing! I felt confident it would be found as we were still in port as the ship was almost 5 hours laste setting sail! It showed up eventually.
