we arrived today for our cruise on the Borealis, albeit it should have been the Blackwatch. The cruise has been booked for other 2 years and the only reason we booked it was that we had cruised on the Balmoral the sister ship to the Blackwatch and the balcony suite was exceptional, our friends had also cruised on the Blackwatch and they assured me the balcony suite on there was equally as good. That was enough encouragement for me to spend a lot of money booking the balcony suite on the Blackwatch. A number of months later we were then told the cruise would be on the Borealis but not to worry because it would be either has good or better. Well I can assure you the room is a massive disappointment it is no where near has spacious and the balcony is less than half the size of what we expected. My friends are in the Junior Balcony Suite and it is exactly the same and they have paid less so don't pay the extra. Food wise we have only been for lunch so can't really comment only that it didn't have much choice, hopefully that will change, oh and we have the sweet dreams package and have not received the afternoon canapes. I will keep you posted on the entertainment, food and service in the coming days.
