Norwegian Escape, 4/16 departure 1st trip after the Dominican grounding… day 3 & apparently bad weather and one port call cancelled and got a recorded message that my 2 different tours cancelled with no alternatives. Very disappointed by the lack of customer service when things go wrong. No real information of what’s going on other than ‘weather’ - that’s is all they said. Do yourself a favor, book another cruise line. This is my 2nd and last with Norwegian because they don’t go the extra mile or try to make things right. They don’t control the weather, but they don’t care about service either and don’t explain what’s going on.
As for the cruise, alcohol is good. Food is just average - menu choice not that inspiring and only warm when served, never hot. Sitting somewhere for a long time I guess. Staff are friendly for rooms and restaurants - just expect nothing from guest service or tour desk staff if something goes wrong - nobody accountable.
Entertainment mixed - not as much variety as Royal Caribbean similar sized ships. Don’t know about water slides yet, end of day 3 and they’ve been closed every time I’ve tried to use them :-(
