No proper control, especially regarding Covid despite MSC proclaiming how careful they are.

We will start by saying that we have been cruising for 25 years therefore we know what to expect.

We joined the boat in Barcelona and arrived at the port at our scheduled time of 3pm. MSC said for us to arrive on time so as to avoid long awaits. We do not know what MSC understands to be a long wait but it took us three hours to get aboard. During this time we stood in countless queues waiting for the next step towards getting aboard. As for the staff all they did was to usher us from one queue to the next, no explanations (more on this point later in the review).

MSC say they take great care to make the cruise customers safe from Covid. However, the hand sanitisers they instruct us to use at every opportunity were quite often empty. We informed MSC staff of this when we could find them and were told it would be seen to. When we passed a couple of hours later the sanitisers were still empty. The sanitisers in the buffet were almost always empty, as were those at the lifts ( there are 6 lifts in a very confined area and guests crowd together).
