We just returned from the Epic transatlantic.
So positives first: Not so many people sailing, approx 1400 on a ship that has the capacity of over 4000 so there was always plenty of seats available in the bars and lounges and the bar and restaurant service was quick and all the staff were friendly.
Food was pretty much up to the usual Norwegian Cruise Line standard which is better than some other cruise lines such as MSC. Good choice of restaurants even though they have reduced the number of special dining package allowances permitted from 5 to 3 speciality dinners and some of my favourites such as the Creme Brûlée have been removed from the Bistro menu. The second restaurant Taste was closed also.
The cabin was also a bit dated, as well as the rust on the balcony some of the cupboard doors were a bit loose and hanging plus they have removed items such as the coffee machines from the rooms. We did manage to get one bough to the room but the steward was pretty useless so kept forgetting the milk or coffee when he made the room up.
