After 2 long years my daughter and I were really looking forward to this cruise. The form filling, testing and App downloading nearly drove me to distraction but I was sure it would be worth it in the end. The flight from Gatwick airport was trouble free but we were kept waiting at Malta airport for over an hour on the coach, Valetta cruise terminal just can't cope with the number of passengers embarking at the same time.

We were upgraded to a balcony cabin on deck 14 which was a nice surprise. Then the disappointment of being told that we were unable to tender in Rovinj due to "operational issues". As this itinerary has been set for over a year, the excuse that the Captain couldn't guarantee the safety of passengers and crew was totally unacceptable. Zadar was the replacement port and although not Rovinj turned out to be better than expected. The other ports of call Trieste, Split and Dubrovnik were as per the itinerary. We had an excursion to Miramare castle and the young Italian guide was excellent.

The entertainment both during the day and evenings was disappointing, no proper quizzes in the evenings and some of the bars didn't have anything going on.
