That was my first drive-in cruise. No airplane from Montreal just drive to NY and find a not to expensive parking spot. We found one at 3 blocks away for 195$ for 7 days. The check-in/boarding was slow, always like that said people around who knew the place. And it was very cold, that was the last polar vortex of the season. Leaving from NY downtown is very fantastic. The 2 first days of the cruise were seadays, slow seadays, cause the fisrt port was not that far, Cap Canavaral. The first seaday was cold and the second was fresh. And the last seaday on the return was quite cold also,,,, so out of 7 days, you got 4 warm days. I wonder the same cruise in mid-January,,,

The boat is nothing spectacular, that is my second cruise on the Getaway and I didnt remember how small was the room and the balcony, very very small. The bathroom is OK though.

I just finished 6 weeks cruising out of 4 differents cruises for 2022 winter, Celebrity Sihouette, HAL Rotterdam, RCL Oasis and NCL, so it is fresh and I can compare precisely, the cabin/balcony is the smallest of the group, but the room is quiet, no door slamming, in fact this boat got the best/smooth/quiet cabin door, of the group, including balcony door, this is great.
