Choose cruise for the Giant Ship experience for the first time... and luckily we sailed with only 60% capacity. Beautiful ship with good design and lots of jacuzzis, plenty of lounges and good gym and sports resources. Biggest let down was food. Love the crew service in the Main Dining room but the Windjammer is average cafeteria food... seems like mostly leftovers and not enough variety. Often cold dishes and sauces and hard to get a fresh cooked burger and the precooked on the line are well done. Even carved beef and brisket barely edible so tough and full of sinew. While eating in the Main Dining Room for Breakfast and Lunch is a better experience and quality, the Chops and Giovanni's $50/head specialty dining are not, in my opinion, worth it... order the Filet from Chops IN the Main Dining Room for $17 instead and enjoy the rest of the apps and desserts.
Balcony Room on level 7 was a bit smaller than other Balconies but modern, good safe, nice big screen, and well designed bathroom. Very comfortable bed and big pillows. OK closets and very attentive stewards with twice a day service.
Adult Solarium in the Bow worth using with 2 jacuzzis and attentive bar servers. Comfortable couches also available. Good library for reading materials and wifi lounge right on level 7. Pickleball every morning at 8a. Will go back to mid-size ship.
Comfortable with great bed and piillows, super Steward (Agnelo) and tight but comfy.
Hard to find good restaurants in the area without grabbing a cab. Recommend Rustic for fresh, large plates of seafood since 1955...
Nassau was swapped for the RC island Coco Cay which is an upcharge for the large slides and rides of $108 for the day! Free lounges and umbrellas on the manmade beaches and lots of shops and food venues .... we ate back on the ship.
Easy walk to the fort and old building.. TAKE YOUR US PARK SERVICE PASS for free admit vs $10/head admission on the grounds. Hilly climb out of the port, probably best to grab a cab tour to see highlights of the island. A Walgreens right off the dock has good prices.
Took the double decker $55/person tour of both halfs of the island and saw all we wanted to and watched the jets over our head on the beach by the airport. 25 minute stops at various points and slow traffic getting around the island.
Check your local jewelry prices and then find some real bargains at the shops right on shore with lots of polished Indian sales people... that free charm may only cost you $600 before you are done, but they are excellent prices vs Miami
