We originally were booked in the Escape, but were cancelled ( with insufficient notice - they had to know earlier this ship wasn't sailing) because of the recent grounding. My sisters and I had vacations dates set and were excited to go so we took the option to transfer to the Breakaway out of New Orleans. This was supposed to be an even exchange ( no additional cost for equal accomodations, yet I just spoke to a representative that said I have a bill from this change and need to open a case in order for the bill to be expunged so I can travel again). Page says up to 30 days to respond... I was trying to book my sons birthday cruise on June that I promised him... Might not be able to make any reservations til mid May... He is going to be very disappointed. I am not sure, maybe 3000 people from the Escape went over to the Breakaway ( kidding) but I waited sometimes, no exaggeration, over 1 hour to get a drink in the casino. The dealer was calling for a waiter, the pit boss was calling... No waiter. ( one exception - when Damon was on duty he was great). I have to believe they were very understaffed. I ordered a case of water to my room, it took a day and a half to get it. I purchased 911.00 in excursions for the 3 of us - all refunded. 1st excursion, person booking us gave us tickets to the wrong excursion, we went down to pier but the one we wanted was unavailable - refunded. Second day, we get up and dressed excited and Captain comes on PA - we will not be docking in Roatan at all because SOMEONE ELSE PARKED IN OUR SPOT! ??!! Bad weather I might understand but we prepaid port fees! This is crazy. So disappointed, refund on that. Spa charges me and extra 270 for a massage I never had... Get a refund on that. The transportation fees from airport I had prepaid, charged again, refund on that... I spent way too much time watching my bill like a hawk and having charges reversed. NEVER USE NORWEGIAN AIR, you would think they would have your back and provide some customer support but no they do not. Had a major issues with my booking there and home - tried to contact them when on board to help avoid them horrible issues on my way there but customer service says your on board, nothing we will do for you. We earned about 25,000 casino points between us, yet couldn't get customer service to make a call to help. They casino was hitting many jackpots though! One woman had over 14! Walked off ship with at least 20,000.00 - I was jealous, but I also hit one good one which made me even on my cruise (my sister hit 0 so... No promises...) I wasnt travelling with kids, but the kiddie pool seemed closed all the time. Felt bad for families. One positive, I thought the shows were great!! See all of them!! And steak at Cagney's was awesome!
