This was our 7th Viking river cruise. We choose Viking because they deliver what they promise - no kids, no nickel and diming, no casinos, etc. The ship is excellent and the crew is the best available. The port talks are educational and time well spent. The food is good and our wine steward was superb.

When we took this cruise, the covid protocols and entry regulations were evolving rapidly for every country on the itinerary. For example, the Netherlands weren't allowing any ships to enter until just a couple of days before we left. Somehow, Viking managed to deal with these evolving situations masterfully.

We have only two quibbles. First, it seems the ship should be large enough that they could find room for some treadmills. Second, Viking's on-board covid protocols are designed so that even the most immune-compromised guest should feel safe. That said, a lot of what they do is unnecessary. Hopefully, as the science becomes more widely understood, Viking will re-think its covid protocol.

Cabin Review

Veranda Suite

The suites are excellent - comfy beds, nice furnishings, plenty of room and storage.
