After several cancelled cruises during the pandemic, RCL continued to offer my wife and I some incredible cruise deals. When the opportunity came up to sail on the new Wonder of the Seas, we grabbed it. This was our first cruise in 2 years, and we felt like we were coming home. Just to give some perspective, we are in our mid-sixties and travelled from the Northeast and per CDC guidelines we were sailing at 80% of ship capacity. We chose to fly in the day before and so glad we did. Turns out we had gotten our second booster shot the day before and were pretty wiped out. Now about the cruise... Our arrival time was 2:00, feeling it was a bit on the late side, decided to go a bit earlier and it was fine. We moved quickly on board and started enjoying this beautiful ship. Some features we thought where a nice touch are the large areas for children and their parents to enjoy. Being in our age bracket gave plenty of space for everyone to do what they enjoyed. We spent a lot of time in the adult only enclosed solarium which met our on-board needs for relaxation. We saw every show possible and thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them. Went to 3 movies on deck 15, which was quite fun. We also really enjoyed the onboard casino which had a great assortment of slots and my favorite, a dedicated no smoking area. We got off on 2 of the 4 ports and that was for Labadee and Coco Cay. Both were very nice and especially loved the trams at Coco Cay. We tried the specialty dining 3 nights and were glad we tried it. Hooked, Chops and Giovanni's. All were good with Hooked being exceptional. Tip for Chops, get the fillet. Windjammer was nicely designed great food and lots of seating. As far as crew goes, they could not have been nicer. In several conversations we had with them, they were all grateful and happy to be back on board and working again. My suggestion would be don't hesitate to cruise on this ship. Also, a shout out to RCL brand, they do a great job.
